About the fabric
Our Aso Oke pieces are woven from premium Nigerian Aso Oke in a softer weight than the traditional ceremonial cloth. We chose this weight so each piece could be worn and enjoyed often, not saved for special occasions. It has a smooth woven texture, a soft hand feel, and just enough structure to hold its shape while staying comfortable to wear.
Because Aso Oke is handwoven, slight variations in color, weave, and texture are natural from piece to piece
Care
- Hand wash cold, or use a gentle machine cycle
- Wash inside out, with similar colours
- Use a mild detergent
- Do not bleach
- Hang or lay flat to dry
- Warm iron on the reverse if needed
